Transfer News Live and rumours for today

Transfer News LIVE updates: Gossip, deals and rumours throughout the day from Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Thursday, June 7
4.30am: Liverpool are eyeing a shock goalkeeper after failing to agree to Atletico Madrid's fee for Jan Oblak.
The Mirror report that the Reds are looking at Alex McCarthy as a potential arrival.
Liverpool have repeatedly raided the Saints in recent years and another swoop could happen this summer.
2.00am: Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has revealed he has spoken with Brazil team-mate Alisson about a switch to Anfield.
The Roma goalkeeper has been mooted as a summer target for Jurgen Klopp, with a new shot-stopper on the Reds’ agenda.
Ahead of the World Cup, Firmino said at a media conference with Brazil: ”Yes, he asked me about Liverpool and I hope he can come here, but I know he has other proposals.
“From time to time I will give him a pinch to come to Liverpool and help us, but it's with his agents.
“It wouldn't be bad if he came to Liverpool.”

12.00am: Alexis Sanchez is reportedly furious at Jose Mourinho for promising him his shirt number.
Reports have suggested the former United superstar has been promised Sanchez’s No.7 shirt if he rejoins this summer from Real Madrid.
And that has angered the Chilean forward, who only joined in January from Arsenal.
Mourinho wants to reunite with Ronaldo at Old Trafford soon apparently.
But Sanchez does not wish to give up his favoured jersey and could even be faced with an ultimatum if he kicks up a fuss - change number or go.

10.50pm: Liverpool will not be signing Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid this summer due to his price tag of more than £80m.
The La Liga side won’t budge on the excessive fee that would make the Slovenia international the world’s most expensive ever goalkeeper.
According to the Mirror, Liverpool made an enquiry into the 25-year-old’s availability.
Oblak, though, has three years left to run on his current contract.
And Atletico have no intention of selling, having quoted the Reds with a fee in excess of £80m, which is said to be the release clause in his deal.
10pm: Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino has revealed he has held talks with Brazil team-mate Alisson about a switch to Anfield.
9.10pm: Arsenal could delay bringing in a new goalkeeper this summer due to their transfer budget.
The Gunners broke their record transfer fee twice in the past 12 months under Arsene Wenger on strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Football London say strengthening in defence and midfield is seen as more important in the immediate future.
If Arsenal can fund bringing in a quality keeper, they will look to do so before the window shuts in mid-August.
Their finances, though, may mean the club has to rely on Cech for a little longer.

Mohamed Salah's agent has quashed talk the Liverpool star has been offered to Barcelona
8.40pm: Mohamed Salah's agent has strongly denied any claims that the Liverpool superstar was offered to Barcelona.
Spanish newspaper AS said that the 25-year-old had been 'offered' to Barca by his agents as the Catalan giants eye a possible alternative to Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Greizmann.
However, Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa tweeted in response: “This never happened. @English_AS you need better sources.”
7.30pm: West Ham are frontrunners to sign Jack Wilshere if he does not pen a new deal at Arsenal, according to Football London.
Rumours are circulating that a deal is close, but Crystal Palace are strong contenders to snap the England midfielder up on a free too.
Everton were also interested but that was when Sam Allardyce was in charge.
6.40pm: The Telegraph say Liverpool are the club leading the race for Xherdan Shaqiri.
Everton and Leicester are also keen on the £12m Stoke forward.
But ex-Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp knows the Swiss well from Shaqiri's time in the Bundesliga at Bayern Munich.
6.15pm: Clement Lenglet would prefer to sign for Barcelona over Manchester United this summer, Diario Gol claim.
The Sevilla defender is available for £31m due to a buyout clause in his contract.
And due to his experience in La Liga, the 22-year-old Frenchman is keen to head to the Nou Camp.
But the financial bonuses and lure of regular first-team football under Jose Mourinho is making him consider United too.

5.30pm: Liverpool are interested in signing Xherdan Shaqiri, Starsport understands.
The Reds are considering a move for the Stoke star as back up for their attackers.
Jurgen Klopp wants to bring in quality support for the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, and Shaqiri is available for just £12m.
5pm: Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is blocking any move to Real Madrid for David De Gea.
With Mourinho desperate to mount a proper title challenge next term, Spanish outlet Don Balon say the manager is refusing to sell his top shot-stopper.
The report suggests De Gea wants to be part of Real’s new project after Zinedine Zidane stepped down.
However, while the 27-year-old hopes to wear white next season, Mourinho won’t open any negotiations with his former club.
De Gea prefers not to deliver any ultimatum to United in order to force through a switch, though.
4pm: Chelsea are being threatened in the race to sign Jean Michael Seri from Nice by London rivals West Ham.
The Sun claim the Hammers have made contact with the French club.
One-time Barcelona target Seri is highly rated and the midfielder has a £35m buyout clause in his contract.
Chelsea are said to be in advanced talks over a deal.
But West Ham are plotting to hijack their move as they look to land a marquee signing.

3pm: Darren Anderton reckons Manchester United will sign Toby Alderweireld this summer.
He told bwin: “I think [Toby] Alderweireld will leave Tottenham this summer.
“Until his injury he was the best defender in the Premier League so his situation is definitely a problem for the club.
“He’s an unbelievable player and he has formed a fantastic partnership with [Jan] Vertonghen.
“Alderweireld will move on this summer because he wants to be paid what the best defenders earn and Tottenham won’t do that.
“Manchester United can afford to pay him far more money and he will massively boost their chances of winning the Premier League.”
2.30pm: Manchester United have announced the signing of defender Diogo Dalot from Porto on a five-year contract.
The 19-year-old, who had a £17.4m release clause in his contract, emerged from Porto's academy to make his Primeira Liga debut last season.
United manager Jose Mourinho said: “Diogo is an extremely talented young defender with all the qualities to quickly become a great player for this club.
"He has all the attributes that a full-back needs: physicality, tactical intelligence and technical quality, combined with a Porto Academy mentality which prepares players for the maturity they need at the professional level.
"In his age group, he is the best full-back in Europe and we all believe he has a bright future ahead of him at Manchester United."
2.15pm: Tottenham are eyeing a deal for Anthony Martial and are due to sit down with Manchester United officials to hammer out a deal.
The Daily Mail report that the transfer could be wrapped up swiftly if the negotiations go well this week.
The 22-year-old, who was left out of France's World Cup squad, has also been linked with a move to Chelsea.
2pm: Jurgen Klopp is looking to bolster Liverpool's attacking options with a move for Gent’s pacy winger Moses Simon.
The Liverpool Echo report that the Reds are considering a £10m move for the Nigeria ace.
The 22-year-old, who has just one year remaining on his contract, scored five times in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League last season.
1.45pm: Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham are all interested in signing Salomon Rondon this summer.
The Venezuelan is eyeing a departure from relegated West Brom before the new season gets underway.
And according to The Mirror he will have no shortage of potential suitors in the top-flight.
Also heading for the Hawthorns exit door is Jonny Evans, with Leicester starting talks to sign the Northern Ireland defender.
1.30pm: Jasper Cillessen is open to moving to the Premier League this summer if Barcelona decided to let him go.
The 29-year-old Dutch goalkeeper told Fox Sports: “I think that I played well in the matches I had in the Copa del Rey. I need to wait patiently.
"Arsenal and Liverpool aren't bad clubs but if Barcelona say, 'We love you', then I'll accept their decision and continue there.
“I'll wait until we return on July 16 to see what they've decided. I don't know anything. If the club wants to keep me, I'll accept that. I signed a five-year deal with them."
1.20pm: Manchester City have reportedly seen an opening bid for Miralem Pjanic rejected by Juventus.
Italian outlet Tuttosport claim that Juve have turned down an initial offer of £42m from City for the Bosnia ace.
The Serie A giants feel that figure will not help them find an adequate replacement for the playmaker.
And it is said that they would only consider offers of nearly DOUBLE City’s bid as they believe Pjanic is worth around the same as Lazio’s £88m-rated ace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
1pm: Levante star Emmanuel Boateng has his sights on playing for Manchester United or Barcelona in the near future.
The 22-year-old striker enjoyed an impressive run towards the end of last season and scored a stunning hat-trick against Barca in Levante's thrilling 5-4 win last month.
He said: "I always dream big, I see myself playing in one of the great clubs of the world in the next five years. Big clubs like Manchester United and Barcelona excite me."
