Riyad Mahrez is set to leave Leicester City this summer and has informed the club of his plans to move on.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted earlier this month he is keen on the Algeria international and hinted at a move for the 26-year-old.
And Mahrez has now responded to Wenger's comments, admitting he was honoured to be praised by such a high-profile manager.
However, he has claimed he is yet to receive a formal transfer offer from the Gunners.

Speaking after winning the Algerian Golden Ball, Mahrez said: "It’s an honour to receive compliments like this from such a big manager in world football.
“But there’s a big difference between an offer and speculation, so there is nothing on the table at the moment.”
Mahrez had an average season with Leicester and struggled to reach the heights which saw him win the PFA Player of the Year award in 2015/16.
Despite this, the winger still managed 10 goals and seven assists in all competitions for the Foxes.
And speaking to French broadcaster BeIN Sportsearlier this month, Wenger admitted  could make a move for Mahrez.
"We have not made a bid for him but personally I like the player, yes,” Wenger said.
“I think he had a huge impact at Leicester when they won the championship, like everybody else.
“Have we made a bid for him? No. Not yet. Not yet means it could happen, it could not happen.”
